Rachael and Kevin are such a fun couple! Rachael has a laugh that makes you want to laugh along with her, and Kevin is so relaxed and easy going, every time I catch up with this fabulous bride and groom I always find myself with a big smile on my face.
It was the week of March break and the weather had been wonderful every single day... I was so excited to go out shooting! Unfortunately mother nature had other plans for us on session day! It was cold, rainy and overcast... a really crummy day. Like most brides and grooms, Rachael and Kevin live very busy lives between work, home life and of course, planning their wedding, so the thought of re-scheduling was clearly out of the question. We altered our location plans, met in Niagara on the lake and ended up having a wonderful morning of photography fun! It was so romantic finding secret corners, hidden alleys and covered roofs to capture a smile, a hug and an intimate kiss. I hope you enjoy these pictures, I can’t wait for their August wedding at one of Niagara’s finest vineyards!

What if it rains on my wedding day?

With wedding season just around the corner, naturally I am getting so excited! Of course, I am frequently asked the common question... “What if it rains on my wedding day?” Well, first I must begin with the old cliché, Rain on your wedding day is good luck! It poured, and I do mean poured rain on my wedding day and this year my husband and I will be celebrating our 4th year of marriage love and happiness...and going strong! Regardless, what if it rains on your wedding day? Photographing in the rain can be fun! I believe that umbrella photographs can be very romantic and intimate, so I’ll bring along a few umbrellas to my shoots if I suspect it’s going to rain. A stormy, overcast day can create a very dramatic sky to your pictures and a really cool look! A lot of indoor bride and groom photographs are intimate scenes that involve the bride and groom nuzzling each other, so it looks as if the photograph captured a very private moment and are soooo romantic! Therefore, if it happens to rain on your wedding day, relax, enjoy and don't be afraid to get your feet a little wet!

Baby 'J': A little princess meets the world!

One of the greatest pleasures of my photography is having the opportunity to photograph friends and their families as they grow and reach new milestones in their lives. Just over a week ago I met up with a couple of dear friends of mine and had the absolute delight of photographing their newborn daughter. Baby “J” was just beautiful and a spitting image of moms prettiness and dads out going nature. Newborn photos are a wonderful way to capture baby’s innocence and timeless purity for years and years! I hope you enjoy these photos... I can’t WAIT to photograph her wedding!

Leah and Nathan: A Paws-itively awesome couple!

It amazes me how much we are so much like our furry friends! Leah and Nathan own three resuce dogs that they brought to their engagment shoot last week. Nathan reminded me so much of the bull dog, large strong and slightly reserved, Leah reminded me so much more of the little dogs... outgoing, energetic and totally f...ull of enthusiasm... together they make a perfect pair! We spent the afternoon at St Johns (after a little adventure on Hollow road) and had wonderful time enjoying the fresh air, the warm sun and the crisp snow! Leah and Nathan have a August wedding planned in NOTL and I am thrilled to be photographing this wedding... I can't wait!
